Linda-I've had Fibro for about 10 years - there is no cure. It won't kill you, though at times you wish you were dead. I have tried just about every medication there is on the market - I excercise-but with Fibro - it's a very vicious circle. If you can avoid stress, your Fibro will be better, if you sleep well, your Fibro will do better, etc. I have a fairly stressful life, who doesn't? I do not sleep well, have just been sick for the 2nd time inside of 5months with some sort of gastro virus, anyway I vomited for two days - my husband had to call 911....the 2nd time I was out of it for 4days because they could not determine what would allow my system to keep the meds down to keep from throwing anything up - one of the medicines gave me anxiety attacks - ripped my IV out - but the worst of it is that it has kicked my Fibro in such a tailspin that I hurt worse then I have ever hurt before. Especially in my arms, hands and fingers, as well as my middle to upper back and my legs to the end of my toes. I don't know of a support group in Hickory, NC - but if there is anyone out there who has a suggestion for me - please, let me know. I also have high blood pressure and COPD - so there are a lot of meds I must take and I must be sure I do not mix my meds. Please if anyone out there has a suggestion, tried something, I might not yet have or - if nothing else, just to talk to someone who understands what it is like to be in constant pain....
Thank you and God Bless. Grace
