I had several treatments in a hyperbaric oxygen chamber, for my lifelong problem with fibromyalgia, and allergy problems. This treatment involved sitting in a concrete chamber wearing a mask and surrounded by 100% oxygen at two atmospheres pressure. For a few weeks, I was virtously without pain, and as close to normal as I have been for the last 20 years. The cost is a problem as each session is $100. I wish this could be recognized as a legitimate treatment for these like treatments, as I feel life for many of these sufferers would be exceedingly more comfortable and complete.
The increased oxygen delivered to the cells treated the hypoxia in the cells and caused the muscles to unspasm.
