Unfortunately for you, we have quite a lot of really good friends and supporters in Taiwan. These people know the truth about us and out of respect for us, they told me that someone has been posting a negative misinformed message about us on websites.

The fact that we are having so many problems to go back to perform in China, does not matter to you at all. It doesn��t bother you that we made a very big sacrifice by playing the 228 show. Just because we did not get on stage at a pro-DPP show and say anything about Taiwan independence, you think we don��t have a stand on the issue? You are young my friend. Unlike you, we will NOT be taken advantage of or be used to promote a political party. Yes �V I am NOT a supporter of Chen Shui Bian. And do you know why? Because your current government openly doesn��t allow Pakistani people to travel in Taiwan. This is CLEAR racism and discrimination to an entire race of people. I was told to my face that Pakistani people are not allowed to enter Taiwan under a ��tourist�� visa, I can only come there to do business. In a civilized world like today where it is whole-heartedly accepted that racism is true evil, your government promotes it strongly. How do YOU expect me to feel about your government? You tell me.

I will NOT let King Ly Chee be taken advantage of. We were NOT told that the SYTT show on 2/28 was a pro-DPP show. If we were informed, we would not have agreed to play. Only right before we got on stage were we told about this. Do you think we were in any mood to get on stage and say anything? We were being used. Our name was used to promote a stance of a political party that we do NOT support. No one in the band was happy about this. Either way, because we played that show we are now having problems performing in China, a country that all 4 members of King Ly Chee love with a passion. The same passion that we love Taiwan and Taiwan people with. But we are still not angry. You however, still cannot respect the sacrifice that we made, which leads me to believe that you never truly supported King Ly Chee.

Regarding the show with a few people. You missed our POINT about when we talked about how no people came to the show. The point that you failed to understand is that it was the organizer��s fault for not promoting the show at all. For weeks people did not even know that we were going to play a show on 2/29. I kept telling people that we were playing and they said ��Are you sure? How come I haven��t seen any posters for it?�� Nobody in the band understood why either and we kept wondering how come no one knows about this?

Because NO ONE PROMOTED THE SHOW!! No posters were made. No flyers were made. No information was distributed to anyone so how are they going to find out about the show?! The only information that was available was online. And the information was ��SYTT after-party 2/29��. That��s it. No bands were listed. Do you call this promotion?

That is why we were upset. We were asked by the organizer of 2/28 to play 2/29 under the assumption that 2/29 was going to be a big show just like 2/28. So we all took 2/30 off from work just for this occasion. For me, I am a teacher in a school and when I take a day off I do NOT get paid for the day. Also if I��m not with my children (who are 5 years old) for one day it is a big interruption on their studies. So it was very important for me that the 2/29 show was going to be worth my time and sacrifice. It was not �V and why? Because the organizer failed to take some time promote the show.

For us, if an organizer tries their hardest to promote a show and STILL only 20 people come, then we will NEVER complain because we can feel the organizer respects us. We will always be grateful for an organizer who tried their hardest for us and a show. All we can all do is try our hardest �V if at the end things don��t work out, then oh well. But if you sit and do nothing for a show, and you have foreign bands that are coming ESPECIALLY to play your show, then how can you feel like you are respecting those bands?

Thanks for your concern �V and thank you especially for posting this message on many other forums around the underground Taiwan music community. Your obvious motive was to damage our reputation in Taiwan. That is your choice, but without ANY accurate information you just make yourself look like a fool.

The original, DIY, hard working King Ly Chee has never died. We are still here working hard promoting social awareness wherever we go. We will still reply to messages like yours especially when the motive of the message is obviously to promote negative feelings for our band.

Good luck �V we��ll see you the next time we come back to Taiwan. Unless Pakistani��s are still not allowed to visit Taiwan.
