*for once, the filly did as she was told and layed quietly on her side behind a patch of brush. Peering out from under the bush, she watches sets of hooves moving about. Her lobes swivel about on her poll as she breathes softly. She's in her own little world, she can hear the tormented voices of those she loved, see where they are going and hear their hoofbeats...tiny barrel rises as she breathes the blood scented air. She blocks out the sounds from the herd members so that they are nothing but a noise in the background, and listens to everything in nature, trying to get away. Birds sing, the wind blows, the sun shines, and for a moment, it seems as though life was back to normal...*
