Subject: TASK 7

TASK 7

Analyse the following lesson having Ryan’s text as reference.

To teach a second language it is important to have same schedules like:

· Provide an adequade feedback - When teachers give students some extras exercises or a test , for example , it is pretty important to correct it with them , or explain all their mistakes. They must know and understand what they are doing wrong to not commit these mistakes again.

· Clarify goals - Teachers need to explain students why they are learning some subject . For what this issue works and when they can use this structure. He/she will offer students a little direction and they will continue developing the issue. Thus , the learning becomes more close to their reality and they feel more confident and interested.

· Lessons need a routine - To transmit a confident feeling to students , teachers have to keep a routine in class. Every class students do the same thing , for example: say how their day was , do grammar exercises, have a conversation etc. Of course, it can not be boring, teachers can change the order of these practices, or do some things different. With this “routine “ students feel more confident because they can predict what teacher will do in class.

· Be clear about student-teacher relationship - It is good for teachers to have a close relation with pupils , because teachers are their motivators to learn and speak . But it does not mean that teachers have to accept everything they do , like: speak all time , don’t do the exercises asked , hand in homeworks late, etc. Teachers can have a friendly relation with students , but they are not their” friends”.
