Subject: THANKS TO ALL THE BOYS & GIRLS WHO ATTENDED

The USQ students from the country who left Toowoomba early morning yesterday accounted for a significant portion of the number of students who turned up at UQ St. Lucia Campus.

It created an excellent impression of PNG'an students and community living in Toowoomba and showed how determined we were. Our effort didnt go unnoticed. USQ was recognised and mentioned several times in a number of speeches, including the speeches made by the Deputy Prime Minister & Minister for Petroleum, Hon Sir Moi Avei, who was present in the afternnon hours during the medal presentations, and the PNG Consul-General Brisbane, Mr Paul Nerau.

The afternoon spent there was great and hope the team that went down enjoyed themselves and made/met (new) friends. Despite the short notice, I thank all the boys and girls who promptly made it there, esp Richard, Apollo, Jeoff, James, Presly, Graham, Monica, Nick, Eric, Allan, Sheena, Shawn, Nia and John. Not forgetting Lucas and Steve who were with us all through. Thanks once again all for your participation and presence there.

We look forward for similar events next year.
