Subject: Task 12

I looked for in many textbooks, but only find some exercises with little kinds of the functional communication activities. All the books, that I looked for the activities are mechanics, no have relationship between the students.
So, I found one exercise, the name is “Find ten differences”. This exercise is of the book English File 1 – Student Book – Oxford University Press – Clive Oxenden/Paul Seligson. English File, p. 193. The exercise uses the technical “Sharing Information with unrestricted cooperation”, the mechanism is discovering differences that the learner A and learner B each have a picture. The pictures are identical except for a number of details. The exercise uses this concept, because the importance is find differences.
Learner A needs describe your picture to B, and the learner B needs to be the same. For example, the leaner A says, “In my picture, there are two boys near the river, they’re fishing”, but the learner B says, “In my picture, there are two boys near the river, they’re jogging”. Conversation continues until they find ten differences and, in this situation, they can play and speaking English in communicative way.
