ANALISES OF THE LESSON’S PLAN

Before starting analysing the lesson plan, I’d like to say that I totally agree that it is always a challenger to try to make classes meaningful and practical and fun.

The Lesson Plan

This lesson plan firstly presents its goals. In my opinion this is very important because since the students knows what they are going to work in, the work itself becomes meaningful.

The research phase is the one that provides “warm up”, in that doing the brainstorm activity the teacher is, sort of, presenting the topic of the lesson and reminding students the vocabulary they have already learnt.
The research activity is an excellent way to create a friendly atmosphere because the students can work together and exchange the product of their research and it will work better work if the class were divided on teams.

The decision-making phase is great! The students themselves will do all the job! You see, since they will decide what car they will buy, this will make the activity totally meaningful, and more, this will be according to their expectations.
And the way that the activity is suggested will provide a very friendly atmosphere.

The sharing phase, in my opinion is the one that convey a certain ‘official’ characteristic to the total work. The students publish the result of their research and it can, in fact, be used for someone who intend to by a car.
For sure it will be very exciting for students to know that their job is being respected and useful for someone.
This will undoubtedly influence the next works because the students will feel their work is going to be respected and this, for sure, will lead them to work in a better mood.
