TASK 8
Emiliane

1. Write a narrative telling us your learning history. Include your classroom experiences and all the actions you performed in different contexts in order to learn English.

2. Analyze your learning history according to the communicative principles and tell us if there were some of its characteristics in your learning experience.

I lived differents learning histories. First, I would like tell about my High School. When I was 13 years old, I met Elizabeth, my first english’s teacher. She’s is very assiduos people. And the english her it’s was very good. She was pleasant and kind. However, in my classroom, we were thyrty-one students! Togheter! So, the communicative principles not were practicables.
Today I noticed that Elizabeth was a winner because, in spite of limitations. She was ok!

My first class
Teacher: Elizabeth
Problem: A crowded class and bad schoolbook
Communicative principles applied:
- Focus on meaning
- Articule the daily language
Communicative principles not applied
- spontaneity and improvisations
- Attemps to the students necessities
Others considerations: The goal in the High School is not proficiency, like the C.A. propouses, and the learning is unilateral. The interactivity is a important element, but impossible in a crowed class.

My second class
After Elizabeth I was student in a traditional language school of Belo Horizonte. But, like my first exemple, this happened a long time ago. We were twelve students. I’m was 16.
There was interactivity. My teacher intermediated the subjects in dynamics activies.
In my opinion, my second experience were successuful, but I have a restriction: “Be attemps to the students necessities” is a important principle propoused by the communicative approched. In my class, everybody were teenagers and this point not were observed.
