ANSWER TASK 15
How can we use portfolios to evaluate our students' progress?

We know that the main purpose of a portfolio is to show the student's progress. This way, we can motivate the students to write their portfolios, explaining their importance. Through it the students will have the opportunity to evaluate their progress and verifying where they had doubts and after asking the teacher and completing their learning process. Besides, the teachers can consider the activity of writing the portfolio as a writing activity. Thus, they will be substituting the traditional tests of writing for another alternative form of evaluating, in this case the portfolio, in which the students will feel more interested and calm for they demonstrate what have been learning. An advantage for the teachers is that through the doubts and of whole the work presented through the portfolios, they will also have conditions of evaluating as the students are developing before the method of teaching, used in classroom.
