I remember a different Canarsie. I remember getting chased home (across Rockaway Parkway) on a regular basis by some greaseheads that hung out in front of the Nosher in black leather jackets and DA's. These guys were a bunch of punks and assholes. I was just a little girl who wanted to learn but that stupid racial shit prevailed.

These were mostly a lot of older kids who I believe were of SSHS age. That shit scarred me to this day. I'm talking about 76 - 79. Where are those assholes today?

Probably dead, in jail, on drugs or in dangerous positions of power in corporate ameriKKKa. I hope most of them realize now that that bullshit was wrong.

wow the nosher days were the good old days! there was no junkies in the crew, everybody was straight, we had canarsie under lock! noboody fuked with us! those were the days! but now my im ashamed to say alot of my old friends are junkies or convicts! some from what im hearing are even ROBBING cab drivers (pollock broz)..im so glad im outta there! i will never forget the good old nosher days when everybody was clean and REAL.
