跟小說半生緣沒有半點關係,
只是陶傑先生一時興起改編張愛玲一生的舞台劇。

張愛玲出生於上海,成名於上海,
後來到了香港,入讀香港大學,
再到外國定居,僥倖地避過了文化大革命,
繼續她那任性而蒼涼的生活。

舞台劇嘗試探索沒有出國的張愛玲,如果一直留在中國大陸,會是怎麼樣的呢?
看著莫文蔚穿起旗袍,裝著張愛玲的樣子拍照,
神態居然有幾分相像,十分有趣,
從來沒有想像兩者有任何相似的地方。

其中一節推出了電台遊戲節目的陳設表演批鬥張愛玲,
(說是比喻文革批鬥的荒謬與可笑。)
我卻覺得這一節反而是全劇最荒謬最可笑的,而且吃力不討好。

現在叫我做資本主義走狗,那時候我沒有說我是,現在也不用辯白。」
