Subject: Parasomnias

Parasomnias are abnormal behaviours performed during sleep. Sleepwalking, sleep talking, teeth-grinding, and so forth commonly involve slow-wave sleep, when the skeletal muscles are not maximally inhibited. Parasomnias can have psychological rather than physiological origins.
