Thanks guys. What did you all get? I got a cross on a chain, 2 pairs of earings, a mozzie net (YES!!!!) and a book by John Dickson called "A Hell Of A Life". It's good. Plus I got other bits and bobs, my Grandpa gave me a family heirloom, which was lovely, and other stuff. *Groans* I also ate wayyyy to much food! :PKatikcha17:28:57 12/25/01 Tue
I got a drawing table, you know, like one of those tables that tilt up and they have a lamp over them? Cartoonists use 'em, and I got one!! I thought it was really cool and I was writing more in my new story on it. (This isn't one about otters an' Redwall stuff though , it's about dragons fighting each other) I also got M&Ms and we got the Harry Potter movie soundtrack! Score@! *leaps up and down excitedly* I'm going to see Lord of the Rings today!!! (NT)Dakkan who WILL see his movie an' tell y'all all about it!08:34:50 12/27/01 Thu
Are you a cartoonist Dakkan? Speaking of stories..... I WANT TO READ YOURS!!!! GRRR AND STUFFF!!! Please do tell me of the Lord of the rings, I am dying to see it! (By the way, whats with you and M&M's?)Katikcha21:32:25 12/27/01 Thu
Sorry, I just love M&M's, it's not an obsession (I think...) Anyway, LoTR was AWESOME!! It kinda freaked me out in some parts and there was intense suspense, but it was great...it fact, I can't wait to see it again :-). I would say that it's best if you've read the book before you see it so things make sense (I was glad I did). One thing I must say, though: the animators really outdid themselves on the Balrog, it was the coolest (though evil) critter in the whole movie. The best character was Legolas because he'd be standing there shooting arrows (often two at a time) every second or two. I'd say SEE IT, but don't take any kid under 10 or 11...too intense. (NT)Dakkan who loved that movie!!13:17:41 12/29/01 Sat
I saw LoTR! It's the best film I've ever seen! There were some really scary bits in it, and I agree with you Silver, that Bilbo bit was freaky. I got the books for crimbo, and I realise that they left quite a bit of detail out of the film, but I spose they couldn't put every single bit in or it'd be like 24hrs long! (NT)Marina who thought Legolas was cool too13:41:07 01/04/02 Fri
My brother has seen in twice the lucky little thing, his friend's Mum paid for him to go the second time. I'm going to see it again when it is shown in the cinema in my town, cos I had to go to Oxford to watch it the first time and ended up missing the bus home by 5 minutes and had to hang about in the dark for ages until the next one. (Oxford is a nasty place when the sun goes down) (NT)Marina04:49:18 01/07/02 Mon
I don't know, there might be some but I've never seen em. (NT)Marina02:41:51 01/15/02 Tue
