整個小說電影感很強，開首已有恐怖緊張的氣氛，但故事發展下去，會發現鬼其實不是最恐怖的，人才是。整個故事中，有兩件令我特別感到恐怖的事：
1. 一個人在荒漠中，手裡拿著一個水晶球，它可以令任何一個願望成真。但最後，這個人什麼願望也許不了，因為他只得「一個」願望。他害怕。
2. 不管多堅貞的愛情，都是有限度的。當一對戀人遇上試探，每個人的抵抗能力其實都有限，最後，我們只會選擇保護自己。主角在故事裡面的鏡子中，看到自己的軟弱。我從這個故事中，看到自己的。
