Subject: 有關今日明報"大埔"專欄

你好, 今日看到 閣下關於大埔的專欄, 有些資料或可分享.

大埔曾經發展有兩個墟集, 舊墟為"大步墟", 閣下文中所提的天后廟, 就是位於這裡, 其興建年份亦與舊墟相彷. 時至今日,該天后廟已為舊墟的惟一遺留下來的文物. (順帶一提, 該廟與林村許願樹旁的天后廟, 乃姊妹關係)

至於新墟為太和市, 紀念建築物為文武廟, 旁近的富善街至今仍為大埔川流不息的旺地.

本人於大埔生活, 大埔工作, 對這裡有較深感情. 因此看到閣下文章, 有感而抒, 唐突之言, 還望見諒. 另外, 本人有拙作"大埔生態手冊"一書, 書中亦有一些大埔的故事與歷史. 如方便, 可給我郵寄地址, 讓我寄給 閣下.
