I can share your feelings.

However, it was also common, may be in the past not now, that some bank staff behaved unprofessionally (or professionally) by embarrassing small clients with words or services. I did experience a lot of times unreasonable services from banks. People perceived that they will receive better services if they are rich and with high professional status. When I worked for a bank a lot of years ago, some trainers did tell me that I should spend more time to look after large accounts holders. Though it sounds laughable that some not ordinary people, not rich and famous, try to say they are somebody, I must admit that if raising voices can help getting what they want, it is tempting.
Bank industry did not give public an impression that they will treat rich and poor people equally. People perceive that poor people will be treated badly with poor, inflexible services. Also, nowadays, many people think impoliteness is a sign of confidence. They think if you dare to be impolite, you must be somebody. In the past, rudeness is a shame because it sounds uneducated and uncivilised. Now rudeness is cool. We learned this value through media, family, work place, everywhere. Teacheres taught students that politeness is important in lecture and students can learn nothing about that. When the teachers get insulted helplessly by colleagues and even students, students understand that who you are is more important that what you say you are. They don't believe mere talks any more. You can say people like that are more sophisticated than those in good old days.

Living with rudeness from people around is part of live. It is not body illness. Get a shower and nice sleep and you can forget everything. You have a lot to celebrate if you have a job and a chance to be insulted in work place. A lot of people are queuing up for the opportunity you have. It is honourable to be a beggar if you beg for your family and someone you cherish. You are paid anyway.
