人們可以選擇閱讀而不去閱讀，要提高中、英文的語言能力，其實離不開閱讀，無論是那一種讀物，正所謂開卷有益，我常在網上看到的訊息，常令人感到莫名其妙，文筆不通順，不要以為電視的負面影響不大，其實電視對現代人的壞影響多過好的影響，例如新聞報導都可以出現"一躉大廈"而不是"一座大廈"，"孕婦"可以是"大肚婆"，要知道正統新聞報導一定是不能出現口語和一般俗語的，現代人惰性重，所以，無論是中文抑或英文，程度之差令人搖頭就連新聞記者也如此!

我現年三十六歲，中學會考不及格，唸書時期是對閱讀完全沒有興趣，直到十二年前才因為結識一班外籍朋友談天說地時，知道自己的不足而慢慢培養閱讀興趣。

因為這樣，我才大大改進我的語文能力，我鼓勵人們多閱讀益智的讀物，例如翻譯書籍和淺白的英文書籍，增強自我的語文能力。
