MATTHEW WALKS AGAIN!
The Buchanan's Christmas wish comes true when Matthew takes his first steps since his accident. “It’s about time,” cheers his portrayer Eddie Alderson. “Matthew’s had enough.”
Danielle is with him "and encourages him to walk, then Destiny comes in and sees him walking for the first time and see's that he's with Danielle, so she gets kinda jealous," Alderson previews. "And once he finally walks again, I think he realizes how much he had gone through ---- all the arguments he had with his parents, going to boarding school and just a lot of drama --- and it finally all comes to the moment he's been wishing for for almost a year.
Danielle, who is with Matthew, “encourages him to walk, then Destiny comes in and sees him walking for the first time and sees that he’s with Danielle, so she gets kinda jealous,” Alderson previews. “And once he finally walks again, I think he realizes how much he had gone through – all the arguments he had with his parents, going to boarding school and just a lot of the drama – and it finally all comes to the moment he’s been wishing for for almost a year.”
It’s also a wonderful moment for his parents, BO and NORA, who've just been reamed out by Clint. Given that Matthew tried blackmailing his parents after seeing them kiss, is Matthew okay with his parents reunion? “He loves his Uncle Clint, but ever since Matthew was a little kid, he’s always said he wants his parents to get back together and that he wants them to be a family again,” Alderson smiles. Christmas miracles all around !

On Monday, Dec. 28, Dorian hatches a plan. Meanwhile on Tuesday, Dec. 29, Clint and Dorian conspire against BO and NORA.

A CLOSER LOOK: MATTHEW
It's Christmas miracle this week on OLTL when Matthew walks for the first time since his accident. Eddie alderson takes us through it step by step.
SOW: Where is Matthew when he takes those crucial first steps?
EA: He is at the Palace with Danielle and he’s in his wheelchair. She helps him stand up. She takes a couple steps back and says, “Come on. You can take a couple steps.” Matthew is doubting it. He might like Danielle – he doesn’t want to be embarrassed and fall in front of her. So he tries to take a couple of steps and he stumbles into her arms, which he’s not too sad about.
SOW: You think he only might like Danielle?
EA: I think he definitely has some feelings, but he doesn’t really tell her yet.
SOW: Now that this big operation is all over, does Matthew think it was worth everything that happened?
EA: Absolutely, but I’m sure Matthew would have liked it to have gone a little more smoothly than it did. He didn’t want to go to London, but it ended up being where he met Danielle, so it wasn’t so bad. There was a lot of fighting. The moment he found out they were taking him to boarding school was awful for Matthew – and for BO and NORA, as well, but they were just looking out for him.
SOW: Is this the first time he has seen his parents do such desperate things?
EA: Matthew said, “Is this really you guys? I can’t believe this is you doing this to me.” NORA and BO have been good to Matthew; they always say how much they love him. He was just astonished that they would do something like that.
SOW: Now to Dani’s parents. Does Matthew ever take Danielle’s side against Téa?
EA: He’s staying neutral. He doesn’t want to get too involved, but when it’s just Matthew and Danielle, and she’s stressed out, then he’s definitely on her side. I don’t think he would ever confront Téa himself and step in like that.
SOW: Is it fun for you to play a more grown-up character?
EA: Absolutely. They are starting to give me more mature storylines and challenging me to step up my A game. It’s good. I like Kelley (Missal, Danielle) a lot; she’s a really good actress. It’s easy to work with her and Shenell (Edmonds, Destiny). She and Shenell have good chemistry. They are friends in real life, as well.
SOW: But Destiny and Dani have a little rivalry over Matthew, right?
EA: It’s kind of tough for them to show the jealousy, but it’s a great love triangle!
SOW: Does Matthew wonder why he’s living at the Palace now?
EA: He would much rather live at the mansion – because, well, it’s a mansion – and have a happy family together. But whatever makes BO and NORA happy.
SOW: And Matthew likes his Uncle Clint, too.
EA: He loves his Uncle Clint. He’s the one who brought out Dr. Evans, and if there wasn’t a Dr. Evans, Matthew wouldn’t be walking. He knows how much his Uncle Clint loves him. It’s a close family.
SOW: So after Matthew takes his first steps, what next?
EA: He’s walking with a cane now. He’s not fully able to walk unaided.
SOW: What is it like finally being out of the wheelchair?
EA: For a while, I was just in the hospital bed. I would just lay there and say the lines. It was a lot easier in the chair, because the blocking was a lot better. But it’s good to be back on my feet again.
SOW: Do you think you’ve grown any taller since you’ve been in the chair?
EA: (laughs) I think so. When Shenell first started, I was just a couple of inches taller than her, but now I [tower] over her. There is a funny scene where BO and NORA open the door and Matthew is standing there with his cane. They look at him from the toes up. They are astonished at how much he grew.
SOAPBOX
There was a mention about how soaps will be all about Christmas trees, carols and Santa Claus with countless scenes of family togetherness and a few readings of the Nativity story, and an all-around culture of holiday spirit. This makes them wish that we also saw holidays from other countries celebrated throughout the year as well.
They mention how NORA is the lone Jewish character on the front-burner and her non-Christian identity is roughly mentioned once a year during Hanukkah. And yet the most important holy day of the Jewish calendar year, doesn't even garnish a mention.

* Tuesday: Mitch has big plans for Stacy. Rex is hurt to see Gigi and Schuyler together. Bo and Nora must deal with the fallout of their affair.
* Wednesday: Téa convinces Todd to keep quiet around Danielle. Dorian is unnerved by Mitch’s present. Brody has Charlie’s back.
* Thursday (encore of 09/11/09 episode): Starr and Hope are on borrowed time. John and Brody are in danger. Stacy gets what’s she’s been hoping for.
* Friday: Pre-empted.

It is a shame they don't integrate more holidays from various ethnicity's. OLTL used to mention the Jewish holidays quite a bit with Nora... but not for a long time that I can remember.

Armed with a rifle, Clint confronts Bo and Nora on Monday, December 21. Although he chooses not to actually fire a shot at either of them, he makes it clear to Bo that they are no longer brothers. Meanwhile, Kim continues to pretend that she is concerned for Clint. Across town, Mitch presents his demands to Dorian — either fire Bo as Police Commissioner and replace him with someone of his own choosing or great harm will come to the Cramer family. On Tuesday, December 22, Clint takes Kim up on her offer to spend some time with her at Rex’s loft. Telling the girl that he realizes what she is up to, Clint insists that she continue to work for him at B.E. At the same time, Bo and Nora regret the pain that they have caused Clint, but realize that their love can’t be denied. Renee and Nigel wish they could do more to prevent Clint from falling into Kim’s trap. With his continued taunts and threats against her family, Dorian finally gives into Mitch’s demands on Wednesday, December 23. Viki is concerned for Clint after learning that Bo and Nora have rekindled their romance. And Matthew’s parents are overjoyed when he takes his first steps since the accident.

And I gotta say - if Viki says ONE thing to or about Bo and/or Nora "cheating" on Clint I'll beat the carp out of her. I can't imagine that they will go there but if they do the gloves are coming off.

Maybe he can be a PI, like in I don't remember whose amazing FF... Oh, and Clint who??? One more thing, my new favorite line "They realize their love CAN NOT be denied" DUH!!!!!! Lol MaryAnn you go for yours girl!!!Now I have a hilarious visual of poor Viki being beaten to a pulp! Ihope Viki wouldn't be negative towards Bo or Nora. She did confront him(Clint) from the beginning about dating his brother's ex. Everyone knew Bo and Nora loved each other including Clint as far as I'm concerned.
