Here's some additional stuff.

Extra! Extra!

“Sneak Peak”

The timing of our upcoming feature on OLTL Executive Producer Frank Valentini and Head Writer Ron Carlivati couldn’t have been better, considering the recent migration of AMC to L.A. and the impending cancellation of ATWT, which will leave OLTL as the lone soap being produced in New York. But that doesn’t rattle the duo. “I don’t think people saw it so much as a reflection on our viability and whether we’re going to be around or not,” Valentini posits. Notes Carlivati, “We’ll miss the company, but I think we’re proud to be shooting here in New York, and we’re proud to be a New York soap opera.” For their candid reflections on the state of daytime and their fearless approach to storytelling, be sure to check out “Last Men Standing” in the next issue of Digest. Editor’s Choice

“Home For The Holidays”

Note - There was a blurb about the best Christmas story from each show from 2009, I will only post the OLTL portion
Although there has been much heartbreak on OLTL of late, we got a little bit of cheer as NORA and BO celebrated their first reunited Christmas together and Matthew finally took his first steps since the accident that nearly paralyzed him last year. “All I want for Christmas is to be able to walk again,” he confided to his new pal Danielle, showing her that he could move his legs. She challenged him to take it one “step” further, and helped him out of the chair. Matthew slowly righted himself, then began to walk on his own. Meanwhile, his parents fought back feelings of guilt over betraying Clint and were overjoyed at the sight of Matthew standing outside their door. Their jaws dropped as he gingerly stepped toward them. BO had to hold back protective mom NORA as he took a few more steps, then stumbled into their arms, and a family hug ensued.
