Subject: About this great board
A tribute to the greatness of this board is the constant thanks from all users. This got me to wondering about the boards beginnings. The who, what, where, when (I think we know why). Maryann, thank you.
I also have a question for Cindy. How are you so right on and quick with your recaps? You always provide such great detail.
I appreciate everyone's time and effort!

I think I know most of the history of this place. Anyone that knows more - please jump in and add!!
The first Bo and Nora site was started by Nicole in 1997. Some of the things we have here (the fave scenes, some of the articles) come from that site. There was a message board that was part of the site. It was hosted at InsideTheWeb (ITW). A lot of the soap boards at that time were at ITW. Nicole decided to have a life (whatever...LOL) and Connie started overseeing the site and the message board. In 2000 or 2001, ITW went out of business and we all scrambled to find some place to host our message boards. Connie and I played with a bunch of different boards and came up with this one. It's gone through a couple of minor transformations (color, banners, etc.) but has basically stayed the same.
Sometime in 1998 we decided to actually start saving our fan fiction. For a while I hosted it at a site that I had. Eventually I registered the boandnora.com domain name and put the FF here. At some point I started adding the video clips and pictures as well.
People have come and gone...and some have come back again. Some people have stayed the whole time. I've been here since 1998. I clearly remember the discussion of the scoop "Nora sleeps with Sam." What a crappy day that was.

That is such a great story! I had no idea that my favs. Bo and Nora even had a site until recently. So, is there anything us newbies should know? I don't want to get booted from my new found fav. site~~ lol

I remember the ITW page. I remember how excited I was to find a site and message board and people who loved Bo and Nora as much as I did. It was the days of dial-up internet and I would sneak on so much from work to find out anything and everything! LOL It was before I had internet at home too.
We had great discussions on every scoop. I remember many discussions on RSW' hair too ;-)
I'm glad I'm still here. This board is #1!!!

The only reason we had such debate about the hair was that you refused to believe eye-witness accounts of said hair... ROFL!!!! But it was fun to argue about it. Lord knows there wasn't much else to discuss at that time.

I think the Nora sleeps with Sam scoop was one of the absolute bleakest! I felt like I'd been punched in the gut.
Thanks for keeping this place alive MA! It's been a great 12 years for me, even though it wasn't all the best concerning Bo and Nora.

Sham and the Cabana was definitely the worst - certainly the most pointless. I remember the debates we used to have back then. I don't think any of us thought TIIC would be so spiteful to keep them apart this long. There is a special place reserved in soap hell for JFP! Although the subsequent regimes certainly did their own damage with the parade of crappy pairings that followed - Troy anyone? Daniel? Loonsey? Lamey? Beige? (Any of the three...)
Even tho what was happening on screen was usually not worth watching, this board managed to stay interesting. I especially enjoyed the FFs round robins we wrote for amusement - The Road Trip was a blast (Sorry Janis!) and the Mystery Solved! series would have fixed the problem before it all went so wrong.
I'm sometimes amazed that we kept the torch alive long enough for TIIC to come to their senses. All I can say is we had plenty of laughs while we waited!

I remember my first post...I wanted to use my name but since I was not the only Jan here on the board I had to add the 2 to my name, LOL but that was ok, I didnt mind I was just soooooooo happy to find a board that had people on here that loved Bo and Nora as much as I did! It has been such a blast to still be in able to come here and know that you ALL still love Bo and Nora and that WE have been through so much together as a group on this board that love Bo and Nora, and WE all deserve what's happening to Bo and Nora and what's in store for them and us.
I can not wait to see what will happen with them. Its been worth the wait for me, the ole saying does really come true I suppose...."good things come to those who wait" ...and we have waited 10 years for this.
I so remember the old days of Nora and Sam.....that was such a bad time...I remember Connie having this as well MA and then you taking over I guess I have been here that long too, LOL
Thanks again MaryAnn for having such a wonderful message board here, if it wasnt for you and this board, I think I would be insane! LOL

I remember first discovering this board around 1998 or 1999. Somewhere up in there LOL. However, I must admit, I did begin to fade away during the years when Bo and Nora were not together. I would drop by once in a while but would not post. Then once Hurricane Katrina hit in 2005, and I had my fist child. I hardly ever even got to visit anymore.
However, now that our favorite super couple is reuniting, I just can't say enough about how excited I am LOL! AND, I visit the board everyday to see what everyone has to say and to keep up with recaps and scoops.

I just cant say enough about how excited I am about Bo and Nora getting back together, it thrills me sooooooooooo much, its been too long!
I just love to watch them with each other...HBS and RSW are so adorable together that you would think they would be together in real life, they know each other so well...they are just so cute as Bo and Nora!

I started posting on this great board in '99. I always thought that if we were to pack it in and there was no one to show support for Bo and Nora, then we'd never have a reunion. And so a core group continued to post even though it was tough at times, and now we have our reunion. Maybe I was right??!!

Wow!! You just took me down memory land!! I found this board.. or more correctly the first board thanks to Toby who was the first person I've ever talked to on the net! I even remember the banner of the old board, cause it had a pic of Bo building the ice cream on Nora's belly... I remember thinking "OMG where did this Toby get me to??" (I was barely 14 and that photo overwhelmed me!!LOL!). I remember I had no clue about the internet's world and when I first came to the board I didn't know how to post! So at some point I just gave up. A short time later, I came back again (after I learned the meaning of a board!), but you moved to this board... I've stayed here since then and had a great time! It's already been 10 years for me... and you can say I just grew up here!
Thanks to you I've made it to this day when we finally get a reunioun!!

I've been here since the late 1990's...when Loonsie and Sham with his clicking dentures invaded Bo and Nora's lives...Loonsie coveting Bo and being mean to Nora....Sham licking his lips over Nora....Drew dieing and Bo going off the deep end...Nora soooo miserable and Loonsie right there to support Bo! Grrrrrrrrrrr! The cabana...thought I was gonna hurl...still feel that way.
I remember you, Shiri, when you were a teenager with all your questions and quirky grammer! You surely have grown up in front of our "eyes"!
Back in the year 2000 my first grandchild was born in Germany...While I was there I could get on the internet and keep in touch and keep up wih my show! Awesome....what an invention....I hadn't even thought of dial-up in years!
This has always been my go to place, all these years,the one place where everyone "gets" our Bo and Nora love and commitment...many years were hard, some days we were all so down there weren't even any posts here....I've gotta say some days I would be so depressed about the show and where it was headed, it was hard to get thro, but I could always go to the video pages and see my Bo and Nora there and almost believe that they could somehow find the "magic" again and be reunited.
Thanks for keeping us going all these years thro the pic of the day, the FF, videos and the writing campaigns! Can't believe we are finally here...Matthew is Bo's son and they all are finally re-united and gonna be the family they should have been all those years ago! We win!!!! At long last!!

I've been here since the late 90's, thrilled to have found a board about my fave couple. I too remember the post about Nora sleeping with Sam. My heart just broke. I've always been on the board keeping up with scoops but haven't posted much since the breakup. But happy days are here again. I always said in my posts Die Sam Die! I hated that character with a passion. LOL.

I'm not sure when I found this board but its been a long time. I think somewhere around 2002. ICAM with the JFP hell reservation. The hell she put us through she will never suffer enough for!
What has struck me the most about the people who post here are the connections and friendships that have been made through this board. This is the best board and best group on the net.
I will forever keep "the purse" close to my heart!!!!
