There were folks from all over the world at those locations. It is an abomination. A tragedy brings folks together, but there shouldn't be this fear of tragedy that we all feel now. Did we think we were immune to this?

These types of horrors (in smaller numbers) have been plaguing the Middle East all summer at a steady rate. People being blown up in cafes at dinner time. I cannot imagine living like that.

I think we must have thought that it couldn't happen to us. I read reports of heroism on the planes, that passengers tried to overtake the hijackers. That is what Mr. Logan said he is sure he would have done. "I'm going down anyway, let's see if I can reduce this catastrophe."

I am wondering if that's what happened with the plane whose mission was thwarted in Pennsylvania. Hopefully, the shame felt by that poor, misled, brainwashed hijacker is felt throughout his organization. A big tarnish in an otherwise horrific victory for the beasts responsible.
