Hi Chuck, I did poorly, well at least it was much worse than I was shooting for, I was shooting for 24:30, the wind was probably 5-10 mph stronger this year, would you say? Thurlow's time was amazing though!!

Congrats on your time, it was the same at the 4/5 winner, 23:28. The 4/5 winner is an Expert Norba MTB racer on Ranchos. Sternlicht did a 21:20!!

I had a mechanical 5 mins before my start, my aerobars slipped 4" down and I had to scramble for a 4mm wrench to tighten my stem faceplate. When I got home I removed the faceplate and roughed up the inside so that the carbon bars would not slip again. Put some loctite on the bolts too.

I noticed that several riders were slower than normal. I believe that the wind was the culprit.
