Not worth it, there have been two deaths in the UK recently in time trials. Also, a bad crash at the FI TTT. The rider is lucky he was not wearing the flimsy Giro lid:

"There was a significant crash involving several teams on the first uphill 'bumpy' right turn near the Boy Scout facility entrance. Riders touched wheels, and a chain reaction ensued, leaving six or seven riders bruised, cut, and requiring stitches, as well as one rider with a collapsed lung and multiple fractures to his rib cage. One of the riders involved in the crash laid down his bike at 30 MPH and destroyed his LG Prologue helmet, cracking the foam."
