There were little "looks" between them and little hints in Season 11. One poster noted that in the credits, along with Michael Chricton (sp?), John Wells and the usual others, is another name. This poster said this writer was part of the team when Lubby was going strong. So, perhaps, yes? I don't dislike Sam. In fact, I think it was good that she was "straight" with Luka that they DON'T want the same things in life and would be better apart. I think deep down, although he doesn't want to acknowledge it, Luka knows it's true. Whether Lubby will come about is anyone's guess. I think there would be some very unhappy Carby fans. I would be happy to see them become good friends. Both have overcome some major hurdles in their lives and I think it would be nice if they could keep each other company.
