 "nogometaša" is a genitive of "nogometaši" which is a plural of "nogometaš" which means football(soccer) player. so what antea was saying is that in croatia the most popular people are sportsmen (mostly football(soccer) and tennis players or skiers) and actors are not even close to that kind of popularity.
