The emphasis, so far, has been with pet rescue-adoption organizations and anti-fur campaigns. He has made public statements for being 1) against wearing all furs (PETA campaign, Associated Press, January 2003), and 2) against fur-bearing seal hunting (International Fund for Animal Welfare/IFAW, InSyle Magazine, February 2005). In both instances he said that he became anti-fur because he watched documentaries that depicted the cruel way fur-bearing animals were raised and slaughtered, or hunted. His wife is a pet foster mom with Perfect Paws Pet Rescue, a nonprofit group in Southern California. I believe the Visnjics are now fostering 5 dogs and 2 cats. Mr. Visnjic is also helping in the following manner. Currently, the Perfect Paws has a DVD of Mr. Visnjic's latest movie, LONG DARK NIGHT, on auction at eBay. The winner of that DVD will also receive a hand written note from Mr. Visnjic, thanking the bidder for supporting the rescue efforts of Perfect Paws. In addition, Mr. Visnjic has for the past few years, been a celebrity judge at the "Nutts for Mutts" fundraising and dog adoption event in southern California. In previous years one of the silent-auction prizes a visit to the set of "ER."
