Personal? Well, Marco polo was born there, on the island of Korcula, the ball point & fountain pens were invented there, the mens neck tie was also invented there "cravat". They have Crystal-clear water, 1000's of islands, the oldest cathedral in the world is in the city of Split. They have Roman ruins & medieval walled cities. The whitehouse in DC was built of white stone from the island Brac. There are so many things about everyday life that we got from Croatia. Hope thats what you meant by Personal. What do you mean "was someone there?" ?.
