actually, there is a phrase in croatian that does involve tanks and cats (as goran said) and is often used when you want to say a simple "thank you" in english; tenk ju(ri vel'ku mačku) - that's how i learned to say "thank you" in english when i was a kid. you see, the first part of the phrase with the cat and the tank sounds very much like "thank you" in english, and since it's all very funny and there's a cat involved, kids tend to learn it very quickly...
