Date Posted: 21:37:13 05/14/03 Wed I would like to highlight the problems that modellers in Malaysia posses flying RC models without any insurance coverage. I would like to suggest that all our flyers should consider approaching various insurance agencies as to be able flyers to buy an insurance scheme. The least would be a third party cover. As there was an incident recently in the UK, a R/C model aircraft have killed a 3 year old child. Myself a R/C model helicopter flyer feels very strongly that there is a serious lacking concerning safety measures at flying sites and all modellers should take serious precaution. Perhaps we all modellers should join hands and make this hobby as safe as possible by helping those new joiners and also those who are not aware of the danger that the model could harm a person. I hope there are more suggestions in this matter perhaps we could establish a RC model club which governs rules and regulations of safe flying.
