As you say this, I must say, society has changed its image as to what is right over the years as the leadership, in this case movie stars, change. Now, with Britney Spears, Christina Aguilara, and Mandy Moore out there, people want to be skinny, to be like their idols. Not so long ago, in the scope of the world, women wanted to be curvy, didn't care so much about being big boned or having a little fat on them. Why? Because Marolyn Monroe was the idol of that time, and what she was, they wanted to be.

As you said Katie, people try not to follow the ads but sometimes come up with negative opinions on themselves. I can't say that I haven't felt this way on occasion, because I have, but it's a stupid way of getting people to feel like shit (if you're offended, I'm sorry) and just raise more money for the shrinks and weight loss programs. As long as you feel good about yourself, that's all that matters. From the mouth of an advice columnist, obviously.
