Subject: Off On a Random Note

Those of you who don't believe in randomness, go somewhere else. Anyone here who knows me knows that I am in fact quite random, and have far to many voices in my head.

Ok, to get to the point of this posting, because I don't want to discuss body image any more, I'm going to pick a topic that has a lot to do with our paper. That's governments. Anyone else think that a one world government would do a whole lot of good? It could be run like the US, with seperate parties running seperate states, but there would be one main government. Please let me know what you think so we can get off of how corrupt the advertising agencies are and how fat everyone feels, because it's driving me insane.

My running theory is that the US government is founded on the premise of "by the people, for the people, of the people," and therefore, in essence, we are the government. Ideally, (where we get my name) no "government" as we know it today would really be required to function, because of the following: being a patriot to the government can be defined as being a patriot to oneself. To quote an anonymous source, "Thou cannot be true to others if not first being true to thyself." How can you be true to a country before you know what you consider "true"?

Look within yourself, know what you believe, question facts and figures, keep informed. Patriotism is upholding one's moral beliefs to the fullest extent possible, which are, if you get down to it, the ideals held by all humanity. "Do unto others as they would do unto you." If only it was that way.
