Diablo II Version 1.06 Patch!

Quite a surprise has come tonight, as Blizzard Entertainment releases another patch for Diablo II,
bringing it to version 1.06. There are only a few changes in this patch, but they are quite
important. The most major change, which actually isn't mentioned in the version history text file, is
that duplicate items have been eliminated (yes, a method of duping was discovered, that worked
on the Realms). Blizzard found a way to scan all items on the Realms, eliminating all duplicate rare
and unique items.

Other changes include further optimized client-server communications, through improved network
coding. Copy protection for certain CD/CD-R(W)/DVD drives was fixed. Finally, the Terms of
Service agreement required for playing on Battle.Net can now be accessed at any time, using a
new button in the menu interface before entering the character selection screen. Also, the
Battle.Net interface in Diablo II is now displaying a message announcing the new Asia2 Realm. View
