A 12 month size shell shouldnt cost much more than 125.00 I needed a shell rather inexpensive because a client of mine, who I had decorated a full glitz dress for sent their item back to a seamstress for some alterations, that seamstress was missing in action for awhile and with her dress, so I offered to come out of my pocket to replace the dress the seamstress disappeared with. So yes I was trying to find the most inexpensive way to offer this since I not only was going to pay for the shell out of my own pocket but new trims and new stones to complete the dress.

Funny thing is I only emailed 2 seamstresses with aol, who had offered to help. One offered to throw the trims in so I wonder who this could be..
Price wasnt an issue as much as the turn around time and receiving pictures of the final product. So please next time refrain from posting such mean stuff. I also did not want anything trimmed from a seamstress as this shell needed exact designs. I was trying to help out a fellow pageant mom with my own money and it turned into a neggative post? Thats not cool. The good thing is she did ger her dress returned in one piece.

Your shell maker Ms Cinda quit on you and took your money and you have been trying real hard to find another person to make the shells for you. I can understand that you have to fill the orders that were already made but you still keep posting shells for sale on ebay knowing you do not have anyone to sew them and you can't sew yourself! In your auctions you say that they will be made by your seamstress Ms Cinda but the truth is that you have no idea who will be making or if they will even be decent shells or even be delivered on time. So why do you keep posting them for sale? You have them on ebay right now for sale. You already have negatives from unhappy shell buyers and unhappy customers posting the shells they got from you back on ebay for sale again because they were not happy with them and did not get them on time. So why keep taking orders for shells you don't have anyone to make?

please do not search and keep looking for negativity in my search for a shell to help out another pageant Mom. I do not have neg feedback from unhappy clients. It was from other issues. But, Thank you for your concerns though sweet of you to care

I have another seamstress to sew for me.She sews all my regular orders I only needed this favor done because this client has a pageant next weekend. My other two seamstress's are booked with other orders, So I was not going to leave her stuck with out a dress and was trying to find a seamstress to help since quite a few offered.

Thank you for also pointing out my auction(s) still listed the old seamstress. Two of the auctions I automaticaly listed as a relist and one was listed for a lot longer. I have fixed that oversite. Please feel free to email me with your concerns or questions. I rather not have this turn into something else other than a helpful sewing board. Again thank you for being so sweet

OK now I don't understand. Why is it any of your business what she does anyway? I don't recall anyone asking your opinion. We here on this board are all adults for the most part and you need to start acting like one. The games you play are childish and proves your immaturity. Do you not have anything else to do but bash people, sit around looking them up on Ebay and watching their every move? Sounds a little psychotic, or maybe jealousy because you have a lot of free time on your hands. So what if she is looking for a cheap shell. Who isn't? It's the seamstress' decision whether to make her a shell, NOT yours. I am sure whatever you say will not sway them. So stay out of it if it doesn't concern you. That is between a designer and the seamstress. If it is legitimate fraud or someone ask your opinion then please by all means speak up but until then humble yourself and sit quietly. This is a sewing board not a bash board. Don't bother to come back with a comment because I'm not listening. You will just continue to prove the point!

Ok i am Ms. Cinda dee's former seamstress. I have just a few comments to make and that is all. I will defend myself once, and once only. First I DID NOT take dee's money, She still owes me money for dresses I made and sent out to her or her clients. That has already been establlished by the Bethlehem PA police detective who called me and agreed with me after I presented my records to him. I went into debt on my own personal bank account because i did not get half down to order materials which in turn put me behind on turn around time and made some dresses late. MY FAULT for not waiting to get the half down and I have learned from my mistake.
I do not have anyones dress here at my house I never did. I did not accept it from the post office so I never had it here.
I had alot going on and decided not to sew for Dee any longer, I thought I had made that clear in an email but I guess I didn't.
I love to sew pageant dresses, I really enjoy creating beautiful outfits and seeing the little girls in them and happy. I have learned from my mistakes and hope to continue to sew dresses.
So with that being said, I have never took anyones money and ran or cheated anyone, That is not me nor will it ever be! Now lets quit the bashing and harassing and get this board back to questions and answers and being a positive board. Thank you Ms. Cinda

I am not surprised at all that Dee was the one who ripped you off and then blamed it all on you. She has been telling everyone that you took her money for shells and never sent them. She has been ripping people off for many many years. The police in Bethlehem PA know her quite well. She has had many people call them over her schemes. Dee Yost AKA Danni, Dee, DeeDee, De, Danni, Danielle and she also uses her daughters name. I have been in pageants for 10 years and have seen all the complaints on all the boards over the years. Her original scam was she told everyone she was a doctor and that she needed clothes right away and would get people to overnight her clothes by COD they had on consignment sites. Then she would right a bad check for them. She did that to MANY people. Then she was scamming under some guys name for awhile after that. Elmer something. She has been kicked off the pageantworld auction, ebay and paypal under many different names. She is using 2 different names on ebay right now. Her feedback is hidden because she does not want people to read the truth about her. It has been going on for so many years. She layed low for about a year or so the last time to wait for newbies to get into pageants that had not heard of her. Then she started this new design business. I knew it would not be long before someone got ripped off.

One of her email addresses is SantaExchange@aol.com. I paid for a Christmas Wear on Dec. 3. It took seven weeks to get to me. This outfit was nowhere near being what she promised! It was supposed to be brand new and never worn. Not only had the outfit been worn, the knees were worn out in the pantaloons, and it had candy stuck on the dress. The color is faded, and it smells bad. I couldn't report to paypal b/c it had been 7 wks., but I did track her down and demand a refund. She said she would send it, but of course it never came. So then I asked for half my money back plus the shipping. No response. She is now not using that email. If anyone has another email for this crazy person please email it to me.

Subject: LA FASHIONS

I bought a long white skirt from LA fashions for 180, with rush service. Dirt cheap, thought it was a great deal, but was not!

On friday, 2 days before the pageant. I got a big white mess! It looked like a 12 year old did the dress on her 5th try!

The dress was 5-6 inches too big. I gave her the same measurements as I gave to another designer, my short skirt was perfect, the long one from LA FASHIONS was 5-6 inches too big.

2. On one side of the skirt the chiffon was 5-6 inches longer than the front and the back of the skirt.

3. The hems were uneven and crooked.

4. The seams were crooked. In one place the seamstress caught the inner lining of the skirt and did not notice it!

5. the stiching on the waistband was uneven and crooked. The superstretched waistband was stretched out, basically it had no stretching quality to it after it was sew. Defeating the purpose of having a superstretch band!

6. the top chiffon layer was caught on the outside of the uneven waistband which made the skirt have gaps and pucker up in 5 spots on the dress, which could not be hidden even with the bodice on!

I had to pay another seamstress 50.00 to recut and resew the skirt, which when I got it back on saturday, the dress looked like it should have when I got it on Friday.

I asked for a refund of 50.00 for the alterations, and she offered me a new skirt and a bodice, which would have been great except the same seamstress, the one who messed up the skirt was going to sew both! She only have that seamstress. I said no thanks, la fashions seamstress cannot sew a straight line, if her life depended on it! I know for a fact that one of the outfits la fashions did not sew, someone else did. the outfit was on ebay and she stated that fact in the auction! So beware! Fashions that you see on the website might not be theirs!
