Subject: Lacey Crouch

Lacey purchased trims from me a few weeks ago for a dress she was making for someone. Then she said her regular skirt maker couldn't make her skirt for her (for whatever reason) and she needed one made for the dress she was doing (the one she bought trims for). So I responded.

She didn't want to pay my prices for my superfull skirts. She said she had a budget of $65 for a skirt. Her customers didn't like the superfull skirts she said. So I gave her a quote of $65 for a skirt with a basic liner with ruffle, and 2 layers of chiffon with a superstretch band (she asked for elastic). She wanted it 27" at waist with 2-3 inches let out room, and 10" long.

I sent her photos when it was complete and told her (as i had previously) it would need a crinoline to make it full. She got a ruffled liner with 2 layers of organza and 2 layers of chiffon (MORE THAN what I had included in my quote) She said fine. Once she got it she emailed me asking for a refund that it was way too big. I had measured it prior to shipping with a standard seamstress' tape measure and it was 30" at the waist (27" plust room to grow), and 10" long. She said it was 32" wide and 14" long. I don't see how. This would defy physics. The layers were cut at 11" to allow for the waistband to cover about 3/4" and then the fishline hem. The waistband was only about an inch wide when attached. It is physically impossible for that skirt to be 14" long.

When I denied her refund, she filed a complaint with paypal. But Paypal responded to me saying they didn't handle complaints about the qualitly of the item, only payment and shipping issues are their concern.

I have copies of all emails and photos if anyone is interested.
