+she looks human, with shoulder-length hair the same color as her mare's coat, and attentive blue eyes, but is she? In her veins flows the very blood of all the animals, for she has their magic in them, especially horse. she can communicate with them like no other human can, she knows their ways. Her village, her own ma turned away from her naught a fortnight after her twelfth year's day. She has been wandering for ages, with only sassy Naveen, her only family,for company. She was born Glenys, but changed her name to Epona, after her patron goddess, the goddess of horses. Naveen bites a flea, and looks around. Where are we? she asks, Are we somewhere where we won't have stones thrown at us?
"Yes" Epona says, but then mutters under her breath "I hope."
