So, the Scooby has more superficial issues to add to the myriad lovely door dings idiots like to impose upon it.. The other day, I was on my way to a gig (so, I was short on time, and had other people depending upon my timely arrival).. It had been raining a bit, but wasn't too bad out.. I was almost to the bass player's house from whence we would be embarking shortly to the club. I was stopped at a RED (expletive deleted) LIGHT (for no fewer than 5 seconds, which is a good, long time to be stopped at a light if you think about it), when some idiot on a recent model Kawasaki Ninja (bright red, of course) banged into my ass and deflected up the right side of the car. Mostly cosmetic damage, including the cover on the right turn signal being shattered, and the paint chipped * massively scratched. The driver was OK, if you exclude the necessity of having a DRIVERS' (another expletive deleted) LICENSE TO OPERATE A VEHICLE ON THE (still more expletives) STREET! So, no ID, no insurance card (gee.. What do you think that means?), no license. I got a name, his license plate & his cellphone number. He said he'd like to pay for the damage, and can we do this without police? (imagine that?) I think he was high or drunk from his demeanor, and a friend of mine who is a cop checked on the name to find there's someone with that name who's had a suspended license since 198-(more expletives)-7!?!?!??!!!!!!!! So, he's been driving illegally for 22 years now? OMFG!! And I'm pressed for time, so I agree to this BS..
Ah, well.. Live and learn..
