My network is a mix of copper and wireless. All of the tower/desktop machines, VoIP, XBox, and PS2 are wired with Ethernet while the laptops are wireless. The wireless access point in the garage is only because the laptop couldn't get a strong signal from the garage.

I don't have a home wide audio system, I just have a large MP3 share folder on the file server that I access from any computer. So, now I get my tunes in the garage too.
