Well, the vast majority of CDs I listen to in the car are CD-Rs, 'cause most of my listening is either compilations or MP3 CD-RWs. I am actually less concerned about the CD than I am that Alpine apparently makes a CD head unit with a seriously suspect eject mechanism (did I mention previously that my older brother made a comment right after I bought mine that his (that had to be replaced 2x, at the second of which he switched to Eclipse) had what he thought was the same mechanics. I mean, 2 months? C'mon..

I do know enough online people who can aide in my replacement of the disc.

Further, with as much listening as I do in the car, if I were to dupe every single (hard to replce) CD I have before listening, I'd never actually have time to listen to music or drive anywhere.. I am anal about care of my CDs, so they don't get left in the car, and always get replaced into jewelcases after quick inspection for foreign matter on disc or case.

BTW, I'm also kinda surprised the Alpine doesn't appear to have a panic eject button for such emergencies. Must have something to do with the removeable face..
