Believe me.. People in my band still look to the possibility of "making it." Yeah, we're all over 35 (and a couple of us are over 40). I guess the dream's still alive somewhere, but since the internet has completely revolutionized the concepts of distribution & promotion, traditional pathways that used to yield the bucks are never gonna do it anymore (unless you are really, REALLY good at kissing @ss, or know the right people, or are basically as lucky as to win a MegaMillions lottery jackpot). I'm just in it for the fun and perhaps some free drinks somewhere.. I like music. Of course, if we DO get paid, I'm not going to donate 100% of my share to charitable interests, either..
