Subject: Fred and Illyria in "Angel: After the Fall"

I read this in Wikipedia regarding the characters of Fred and Illyria in "ANGEL: After the Fall"

"In the final page of After the Fall #5, Illyria appears to turn into Fred after noticing Wesley.

" In issue 5, Spike informs Angel that something is "wrong" with Illyria and hoped that he could help her. What exactly is wrong with her is revealed at the end of the issue, with Illyria transforming into Fred when she sees Wesley. While She had transformed into Fred before, it was originally only a change of shape and not of personality."

Is this Joss Whedon's effort to continue the ever boring romance that was Fred and Wesley? Please . . . please say that it isn't so.
