Subject: Dollhouse Panel at Comic-con

At the Comic-Con Dollhouse panel Joss talked about the themes of Dollhouse which are the search for identity and the search for the soul (he used both terms, unclear if they were interchangable though). Wanted to ask why he couldn't just send Echo to a witch doctor in Africa, but never got the chance. But, it does seem like it will be right up the alley of this board.

During the panel he was asked about those of us who evaluate the academic bent of his works (or in my case, those of us who read other people's academic deconstructions). He seemed truly delighted by it, reads some of it, was really happy that people saw the subtexts he intended and found alot more that he didn't know he put in there, but realized after reading that he did. Some of it suprised him. He was truly in awe of the kind of work people are doing with his ouvre.
