As I said over at sk's Dreamwidth page, I'm pretty skeptical. The biggest problem is likely to be the fact that it will be controlled by Disney/Fox. That alone pretty much rules out anything innovative or edgy.

I'm not a believer in re-boots. The original had a magic that is very unlikely to be recaptured. If it even gets to the level of "watchable", I'll be surprised.
