i am not sure i'm on board with this, most classic horror is black and white (no pun intended but apropo anyway) with good and evil easily discernible. btvs blurs the lines. buffy is more a "liminal charachter (Mary Douglas - purity and danger). Angel as well blurs the lines. as far as music, i notice that btvs featured alot of WB artists.
