Interesting idea. I guess you could make a case that he was deactivated rather than killed or destroyed. And losing his power source might leave magic as a way to keep him alive, or functioning, anyway. But I'm not sure Adam's appearance is enough to make anyone recoil & call him a "thing," & I doubt it's enough to cause someone to wonder how he can be alive (unless he was damaged enough to look a lot worse than he used to).

A former character coming back? Do we know for sure this isn't a new character?
