I understand that Joss Whedon has included in the show's canon that demons are basically evil. I just don't agree with him. For a man attempting to portray morality in an ambiguous manner, having humans predisposed toward good and demons (including vampires) predisposed toward evil strikes me as being particularly "unambiguous". It also seems to be adhering to a Judeo-Christian viewpoint that I had thought Whedon had abandoned a long time ago.
