Subject: Man if I could only get this to Joss' ears... (AS6 & BS8 REVIEW)

Wow, it's been a very long time since I've been to these forums. I miss All Things Philosophical, I wonder if I should start a Paypal account or something to see if we could try and pass around the hat to get this thing updated for the comic books.

But yes, it's been nearly four years since I was here last. It's like stepping back into a well toned and comfortable pair of shoes.

I avoided the comic books up until this point due to the fact that "Not Fade Away" was such a wonderful ending to Angel: The Series. Why did I not pick but Buffy: Season 8? Well, that's a different reason. I'd come to pretty much loathe Buffy by that point with my interest having started to wane by Season 4 and my distaste for Season 7 & 8 (due to the gratituous misogyny of the villains) made me no longer enjoy the series.

However, it's a bit like riding a bicycle and some old friends just need some time apart. I once more have met my old girlfriend and we're hitting it off great. There's some definite changes though, this is part of the issues of the Medium. Comic books are expensive little buggers that have to maximize their story in visual movements, motions, and illustrations due to the fact they're so short. I'm an old comics fan, however, and am happy to pay the price.

Nevertheless, there's some decided difference in quality between the two comic story lines.
