I see two different issues here, yours having to do with Willow, the bloggers with Joss. I'll leave Joss aside for now because I don't think the blog made very good points.

I recall quite a bit of discussion here about Willow's behavior in AtW and TR, none of it excusing her, though not everyone went quite so far as the blogger did in characterizing her actions as "rape". I also recall a good deal of discussion about how "easy" Willow was let off in S7. I know there was because I personally made that argument many times, at least once describing Chosen as a "get out of jail free" episode for her. While I like S7, I've never been altogether happy with the handling of Willow in that season.

There are several ways, at least, of looking at this within the confines of the show. One is that we were meant to see Warren as so evil that what Willow did was excusable, though perhaps not justified. Another is that much of Willow's rehabilitation occurred off-screen in England over the summer. A third is that Joss was simply exploring the variety of different ways people deal with their wrongdoings. In this view, we see contrasts between Angel, Spike, Anya, Willow, and Andrew (and, for that matter, Buffy, Xander and Giles). We're not supposed to expect just one route to redemption.

I think all three have an element of truth in them. I'm still left somewhat uncomfortable with her arc, however. OTOH, I'm now re-watching S7 and maybe I'll have a different take when I'm done.
