but magic is more organic. Speaking purely from a personal assessment there is a sort of ecological interdependence of the elements involved. Human attempts to manipulate food chains have always resulted in the forces of nature 'pointing out' that they are in fact food webs and I see magic working in a similar manner. In my perception the subtleties required to successfully employ magic dictate that a childish or simplistic approach is destined to go awry - technology is a great deal more stolid and dependable and less insidious and clandestine.

That magic, particularly glamours such as the spells of AtW and TR, exerts its power by insinuating itself into the world unseen for the most part lends itself to a deceitful approach. Willow has always displayed the attitude that 'she knows best' and the tempting opportunity to avoid 'unnecessary' debate on the matter draws her further towards becoming a conduit for increasing amounts of the dark power that is available.

Incidentally I've often thought that her comment in Grave about Giles using borrowed power was rather hypocritical. Scary, veiny Willow was a result of her drawing magics out of the books in the Magic Box after all, and she then had to suck the magical 'pick me up' out of Giles to replenish her energy. Not that hypocrisy would bother her at all at that stage in the proceedings.
