I think the fact that Veronica like Buffy is small, blonde, pretty and a mixture of tough and vulnerable with a keen sense of wit means that the comparisons are going to be made and the fact the presence of Charisma Carpenter, Alison Hannigan and Joss Whedon in the show means it is one the programme makers are not oppposed to playing on. Certainly has things in common with Buffy and the show borrows some of the elements from BtvS in a good way.

There are certainly at least some character parallels between Buffy/Veronica, Duncan/Angel, Logan and Weevil/Spike, Wallis/Xander, Mac/Willow and Keith Mars/Giles.

Like BtvS it has very good characters and is an interesting scenario and has a mixture of arc plot and standalone stories.
